Somewhat Winter-like Conditions

1/22/2006 2:36:32 PM
Seeing how it's almost winter-like today, I've had the fireplace roaring since this morning.

It's about 42 degrees outside and it's been raining all day.  Normally, I'd hate weather like this, but it hasn't rained in over a month and it's been so warm that I've been wearing short sleeves most of the time.

Thanks for everyone's concerns over my gastrointestinal problems, but I'm OK right now.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it was a fluke.

I've got a few good stories to tell you next week, so not only is the actual drought over, the literary drought seems to be coming to an end as well.

Tomorrow, Evan and I are going to see the Stars beat the shit out of Phoenix thanks to some free tickets that I got for fixing someone's computer.  Today, I'm just going to enjoy the cool weather, eat some chili, drink some beer, and watch TV.

Yay, winter!

It sounds like you are doing better. I'm glad. I think it's just a fluke too. One time I must have gotten some terrible bacterial thing in my GI track b/c I shat blood for a couple of days...and I'm not talking a little bit--more like the bowl turned blood red everytime I had to go (which was often). I also would get these weird horrible pains in my stomach. It was terrible, but I didn't have insurance at the time so I didn't go see about it. And I'm still here. Wow, I sound like an awesome health care provider don't I? I'm glad things are better. I'm excited about the stories. Heather

As a person who has a few gastrointestinal problems of my own, I feel your pain and I'm glad you're better. As for me, I'm on cloud nine because my Steelers are going to the Super Bowl. Even though it's raining, I'm cool. Can't wait for the new stories.

Chris, If your gut can accept chilli and beer there is still hope for you. I was imagining you sipping some warm chicken soup and nibbling on 4 or 5 saltines with a mug of hot tea chaser. lmao Thank you for giving my wintery, Monday morning a great start! I am so glad that you are feeling better. Where else would I turn for my daily shot of entertainment if you were to fall sick on me?? I'll be checking back for your newest entry. Denise :)
