Diary of a Fat Man

Frozen

2/18/2006 7:05:05 PM
I just spent the last three hours outside in 27 degree weather (with a wind chill of 16) trying to fix my fence.

The winds were so hard last night, it blew down about 16 feet of my fence.

Why couldn't that have happened a few days ago when it was fucking 80?

I don't think I've ever been this cold in my life.  I've been inside for about 30 minutes now, but my back still feels like I've been rolling in the snow for a while.

Oh, please!  Cry me a stinkin' river!  It was like 9 below ZERO here yesterday, and that doesn't even include the wind chill.  We're freezing to death here, and you're complaining about 27 degree weather?  I do feel badly about the fence, though.  That really does stink.  :)

LMAO....Welcome to my regular wintertime world.  Let us hope that Spring is right around the next corner.  (Going to add another piece of wood to the fire)

Hugs,
Denise  :)

I'm impressed that Texas is stepping up to the plate and showing us its wintery potential.

Our local weather went from rain, rain, rain, rain to 60-70 mph winds to frigid (for us) as well. Lots of fences down, and trees.

Truly sucks to be you this afternoon. good exercise, though.

So save the fence-mending for the next 80 degree day!  Screw the neighbors who call it unsightly....so is the damn snow!

Unless, of course, your fence serves an actual containment purpose which must be met immediately.  You have my condolences.
