I thought that my college degree was going to keep me from ever having to do manual labor again, but apparently I was sorely (emphasis on sorely) mistaken.
We're in the middle of a big office move. GSA built us a new building (which is so frickin' sweet...we even have a covered patio and I'm talking my boss into letting us put up a basketball hoop out in the parking lot) and we're getting things ready for our big move in two weeks.
Today, I've been sorting through old folders, loading up shredding bins, packing files that need to be sent to the national archives, printing out mailing labels.
I'm covered in dust; my hands feel like I've been playing the slot machines for 24 hours straight. And my back hurts.
But, it was a nice break from the usual and the payoff is a nice, clean and non-cluttered file room at the new abode.
I'll post more tomorrow (yay, day off). Hopefully the sick-kid radar doesn't go off again.
