Diary of a Fat Man

Armageddon

Slowly, but surely, I’m getting back up to snuff with my jogging.  I went out last night after the rain and ran for a mile and a half without stopping.  At this rate, I should be back up to two miles by the end of the week.  It’s kind of weird, I can tell how the run will go within the first 100 yards.  As soon I was a few houses down from mine, I could tell that last night would be a pretty decent run.  I probably could have completed the whole two miles, but I was trying a new route and I hadn’t mapped it out beforehand.  They’re building an extension to the neighborhood, so the streets are paved and laid out, but nothing has been constructed yet.

It was a pretty nice run, considering I was just running on empty streets.  No houses, no construction equipment; nothing but rubble and mud and nicely paved concrete that’s less than a month old.  The sky was black with storm clouds and lightning was backlighting the clouds every few seconds.  Occasionally, streaks of lightning shot out of the sky and hit miles away.   I was blasting The Downward Spiral (Nine Inch Nails).  It was like running through Armageddon…

My food intake, is another story.  Friday screwed me up for the whole frickin week.  I was already six points down for the day after my potluck, but Laurie and the kids (and ME ME ME) wanted to go out to eat since it was finally payday.  We went to Panda Express.  I did fairly well (all things considered), but I ended the day 25.5 points in the hole.  I only have 35 flex points for the week.  That mean I only have like, uhh, ummm, 50 points left?  Is that right?  Let me get my calculator…ok.  OH…9.5 points left.  Fucking math.

So, long story short, I’m down to 4 points left for the week.  I’m going to have to watch things VERY carefully this week.

This morning was hectic; it was the first day of school for Evan and Laurie’s first day back as a full-time teacher.  I hope both of them have a good day.

Hey Just stopping by to see how things are going. I can't wait to have a life to share with kids. I have lost five babies. I just have not been able to carry past 5 months. I am almost licensed to accept foster children and hopefully adopt them if they need a home. I would love to hear more stories about having kids in the home! Later, Jenn
