I wasn’t too badly hung-over yesterday (surprise, surprise), because I woke up at about 4am and drank a quart of water and took some Advil. Water is truly life, my friends. Chris’ tip #1,482,543: Drink lots of water to reduce the affects of blatant alcohol abuse. Back when I used to drink a lot, my sure-fired hangover cure was 1 20oz bottle of Dr. Pepper, 1 packet of BC Powder, copious amounts of greasy sausage, scrambled eggs, and biscuits, and about 10 Marlboro Reds. Mmmm, mmmm, good!
I did fairly well getting back on the program yesterday and came in 2 points under my quota. I’m still not exercising the way I have to, but I just can’t get motivated to go out right now since it’s been so hot and because I’m afraid I’ll mess my neck up even more than it is now.
Today, I have to try to find some way of buying myself a two week grace period with the bank. The payment is due (well past due) on Laurie’s car and I think they may try to repo it if I can’t get them a payment by Wednesday. If we can tread water for another two weeks, my financial difficulties will be pretty much over, since that will be Laurie’s first paycheck with the full-time gig. This month has SUCKED and I knew it would since we had none of her part time income, but the past couple of weeks have been really bad, and the next two will be the worst since I was laid off last year.

Have you considered "forgetting" to sign the check? That might buy you some time. Of course, if you are lucky enough to be in the way of H Katrina, they will give you disaster relief. That is how I kept on track with my student loans after last year. Call your bank and tell them you are in the way of the hurricane or you are helping family that is and you want disaster relief. Let me know how it goes.
